Vivace Winterguard Audition Information
Vivace Winterguard is looking for men and women ages 16-22 to be a part of the 2009 Season. Here is the audition information needed to help you in the audiiton process. Please note that applicants still in High School will need a letter of agreement from their band director/colorguard director permitting them to audition and march.
Please read... 2009 Season will require members to be enrolled into a movement class that will meet during the week in addition to their normal weekend rehearsals. College Students should be aware to adjust schedules accordingly.
Requirements
Prospective members should have a general knowledge of Equipment AND Movement Principles including the following:
Flagline Skills:
DropSpins, Peggy Spins, 27 points of Space, Carving, Tosses up to a Double and 45 tosses on the Right and Left.
Weaponline Skills:
Spins (Single and Double-time), Flourishes, tosses up to a 6 on both rifle and sabre
Support Staff Needed Also!
We are also looking for members to help with Floor crew. Those members will be eligible to travel to all contests with the unit during the entire season. Please contact the director if you are interested.
ON THE DAY OF THE AUDITIONS.....
Please prepare a 30-45 second Solo Routine to music showing your skills on Flag, Weapon, and Movement.
